Episode 47 – Forever Chemicals Exposed: PFAs in Your Clothes, Water & Everyday Life

Published on: 5th May, 2026

In this episode of Byja Radio, Dr. Jasper and PatientZero break down the growing concern around PFAs, also known as “forever chemicals,” and how they may be hiding in everyday products like workout clothes, water bottles, food packaging, household dust, and even firefighting gear. They explain why these chemicals are called “forever chemicals,” how they can remain in the body and environment for years, and why exposure is so common that CDC data suggests most Americans may already have PFAs in their bloodstream. The conversation connects recent investigations and lawsuits involving major clothing brands to larger questions about consumer awareness, health risks, and informed choice. Dr. Jasper highlights possible links between long-term PFA exposure and immune system disruption, high cholesterol, kidney and testicular cancer, thyroid issues, fertility challenges, pregnancy complications, and reduced vaccine response. Patient Zero adds humor and real-life perspective, questioning why modern workout culture has shifted from simple cotton gym clothes to performance gear that may come with hidden risks. The episode closes with a reminder that health is not about looking good for the highlight reel, but about making consistent, informed choices that help you live a longer, healthier life.
